Shir Ha-Ma'alot

Marisa Kaiser, M.A.Ed., R.J.E. The Alpert-Waldman Family Director of Education Chair  Congregation Shir Ha-Ma'alot is thrilled to have on our staff as Director of Education Marisa Kaiser, a well known Southern California Jewish professional. Marisa grew up in Los Angeles, and has always been active in the Jewish community.

As a teenager, Marisa was involved in youth group and served as regional board member of NFTY, Southern California. After graduating with a BA in Jewish Studies from Ohio State University, she was appointed and served one year as the Jewish Campus Service Corps (JCSC) Fellow for Hillel at Kent State University in Ohio. Marisa then returned to her roots in Southern California to pursue her Masters in Jewish Education from the University of Judaism.

Previous to joining the SHM team, Marisa has served as Religious School Principal at Temple Judea in Tarzana and West Hills. She serves on the National Board of Directors of NATE (North American Association of Temple Educators) and is also a member of the Jewish Educators Association of Orange County. She is passionate about Jewish education and is excited to continue her career at Shir Ha-Ma'alot.
