 Grades 8 through 12

Pizza dinner and social time will be given to all of our 8th - 12th grade students from 5:00-5:30 pm.

8th and 9th Grade (Pre-Confirmation)

Our eighth and ninth graders will each have a core hour followed by an elective hour. The core hour will consist of grade level curriculum focusing on ethics and values teenagers face. Electives will range from art to cooking, to debate, to Modern Hebrew, to Hot Topics and more. All the classes will provide the students with an opportunity to deal with contempory, ethical issues in a safe, open, and friendly Jewish environment.
Twice a month on Tuesdays 5:00 - 7:30 pm

TALIT (formerly Adat Noar)

The Bureau of Jewish Education sponsors a community-wide 9th grade program which brings together 9th graders from congregations throughout Orange County.  There are 10 class sessions and 5 weekend retreats.  This is a wonderful way for our teens to experience being Jewish and make lifelong friends.

10th Grade (Confirmation)
Confirmation is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about themselves through Judaism, through social action, and through exploring their spirituality. This class will provide a fun, safe and exciting environment. The class is taught by Rabbi Steinberg and will provide the opportunity to expand one's Jewish horizons and consider his/her choices about the future. Together, the class will celebrate their accomplishments after their 10th grade year at a special Confirmation service prepared by and created by the students themselves.
Once a month on Tuesday 5:00-7:30 pm

11th & 12th  Grades: Rappin’ with the Rabbi, (Post Confirmation)
Rappin’ with the Rabbi is a great opportunity for 11th and 12th graders to discuss with Rabbi Steinberg and Rabbi Schuldenfrei the issues of the day. If you enjoyed Confirmation, you will love this!!!!

Once a month on Tuesday 6:30-7:30 pm

Madrichim Program 9th-12th Graders (Teacher's Assistant)

By becoming a Madrich/a, students in grades 8-12 will serve as a Teacher’s Assistant in one of our Religious School classrooms on Sunday mornings or weekday  afternoons, helping the teacher with daily activities, leading small groups, taking roll, helping with art projects, working with students who need some extra attention, and most importantly, serving as a Jewish role model for our kids!!!  This program will enhance not only our teens’ Jewish knowledge and identity, but will also give them a chance to enhance the religious school experience for children  Pre-K through 6th Grade.  Students will receive community service hours for their time working in the classroom. A special track will be offered for 8th graders as first time Madrichim.

We accommodate students with special needs in all of our education programs.
