Welcome to SHM's Religious School
Religious School Vision Statement:
Congregation Shir Ha-Ma’alot Religious School is a place where we strive to create and nurture strong Jewish identities by…
Establishing and sustaining a learning environment that is positive, exciting and approachable for all of our students,
Providing students with Jewish knowledge and skills,
Deepening an understanding of Jewish values and how they are put into action in everyday life,
Creating opportunities for students to explore and develop a relationship with God,
Connecting our students to each other and the Jewish community, at home and abroad
From Our Director
“Educate a child in the way he/she should go…” Proverbs 22:6
This quote symbolizes how we approach Jewish education. We need to educate our children in their own way. Our goal is for our students to leave our school every day with a smile on their faces, having learned something new, enthusiastic to be Jewish and looking forward to their next class!!
Jewish education is about creating Jewish memories that will last throughout our lives. Jewish memories are formed in the classroom, in youth group, in family camp Sundays, with Jewish friends and more! Parents are our partners in educating their children. We want to work with you and be a part of your child’s experience. Together, we can continue to create more Jewish memories for our children and for our families!
We want to inspire our children to learn and grow as Jews as well as help them develop a strong sense of comfort at the synagogue and with their own personal Jewish identity. Through innovative curricula, dynamic, interactive teachers, and with a willingness to learn, our Religious School continues to grow with creative, fun and ground-breaking educational programs.
We look forward to joining you on your family’s Jewish education journey!
My door is always open. Please feel free to come speak to me about the Religious School at any time!
