Food Sustainability means both producing and distributing nourishing food in a way that is not harmful to the planet or people and that facilitates future production of food. Many factors support food sovereignty, the right for people to have both nutritious and culturally appropriate food.

Join us to learn about the diversity of production methods required to sustain the growing global population, measures to minimize excess waste, and capturing nutrients at every point in the process to ensure that they are feeding the people that need it.

We’ll also introduce local and community actions people can take to better support the long- term sustainability of food systems.

Speakers
Danna Creager and Danny Miller (two congregants who grew up at SHM!)
