Mentsch of the Quarter: Larry Boodman
Larry Boodman has been an invaluable member of SHM as well as SHM’s musical community. From the very beginning, he played a central role in shaping our Shabbat Shira band into what it is today. His generosity has touched every corner of our program — from donating the drum set (complete with our SHM personalization), to giving countless hours of his time, energy, and enthusiasm.

He has supported our youth band with patience and dedication, guiding young musicians at the very start of their musical journey. He has also enriched our school community, returning as a guest lecturer to inspire our students, encouraging them to imagine their futures boldly and to dare to dream.

Whenever Larry steps in to help, he brings both harmony and joy. His mentchood lifts the rhythm, the spirit, and the excitement of every project he touches. His presence makes our community more vibrant, more connected, and yes — more musical.

We are deeply grateful for all that Larry contributes, and for the way he continues to make our world sound a little brighter.
