Our Congregation welcomes all members of the Jewish community and their families. As a non-profit organization, Congregation Shir Ha-Ma'alot is supported by the commitment and collective strength of our members. We are honored that you have chosen Shir Ha-Ma'alot (SHM) for your spiritual home.

Financial Commitment

Sustaining Membership- $3,525 (consists of $2,850 membership + $375 Building Maintenance Fee + $300 Security Fee)

Benefits of Membership include over 300 programs and events centered on building a warm and vibrant Jewish community as at SHM and include:

4 M Supporters

Mitzvah supporters help to provide every member at SHM, regardless of their financial means, the opportunity to participate fully in the life of the congregation. In addition, Mitzvah supporters strengthen and sustain religious and educational services and programs that benefit us all. If you are able to support Congregation Shir Ha-Ma'alot by paying above the sustaining level, it is one of the highest forms of tzedekah. (Please note that all Mitzvah Supporter levels include the Building Maintenance Fee and the Security Fee.)

Memory- $4,275- Special recognition in the membership directory
Mitzvah- $6,025- The above plus two reserved High Holy Day tickets
Mentsch- $8,875- All of the above plus two additional High Holy Day reserved seats (total of four)
Meaning- $11,750- All of the above plus one reserved parking space at the High Holy Day services

No one is denied membership because of financial hardship. We do ask you value the benefits of membership at our synagogue by contributing to the very best of your ability. Terms of Membership Commitment

1. I/We acknowledge a financial commitment to pay the annual membership dues. The annual fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30.

2. I/We understand that annual membership will be renewed automatically without further action on my/our part unless I/we give written notice before commencement of the new fiscal year that I/we do not want my/our membership renewed.
