NaSHiM Supports Sharsheret West Coast Dash Race

Please help us contribute to Sharsheret's mission to improve the lives of all women, men, and families living with or at increased genetic risk for breast or ovarian cancer through personalized support and save lives through educational outreach. You can donate directly or join Nashim's team for the Sharsheret West Coast Dash on Sunday, September 14, 2025 in Playa del Rey.

As a team our fundraising goal is $1,800. Please help us reach our goal. 

Those who join our team, we will send out more information regarding carpooling and meeting spot at the race.

 

Instructions to Register to Run/Walk:

1. Go to https://runsignup.com/Race/Donate/CA/PlayaDelRey/SharsheretWestCoastDash

2. Select "Sign up" at the top of the page.

3. Fill in your information; before leaving the page select the "YES" button under "Would you like to join or create a Group/Team?"

4. Check the Waiver, and then "Continue."

5. Select "Join an Existing Group/Team"

6. Under "Select Group/Team" scroll down to the "Synagogue" subtitle, and select "Shir Ha Ma'alot - Nashim"

7. Then enter the password "Nashim"

8. Select continue and then complete payment. 

9. You may also add an additional donation to help our team reach our goal.

  • 5K $64.60 (then to $75.20)
  • 10K $75.20 (then to $85.80)
  • Family fun Race (1K) $27.50 (then to $39.16)
  • Virtual Race - $39.16 through Sept. 14

2. Select "Team Fundraiser" after the information.

3. Scroll to "Shir Ha Ma'alot - Nashim" team (you may need to select "Load More Team Fundraisers" to find our team.)

4. Select or type in the amount you'd like to donate.

5. Complete the form by filling in your information and selecting "Continue" to the end.

 

 

Information about the event:

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, Sharsheret will gather hundreds of thrivers, caregivers, friends and supporters on the beach for our 4th Annual West Coast Dash in support of our breast and ovarian cancer work. Our run/walk will include a 5K Race, 10K Race, Family Fun Race, Virtual Race and Event Festival. Contributions excluding the value of race entry tickets are tax-deductible.

Schedule for Race Day, Sunday September 14th (Subject to Change)

6:00am – Parking Lots Open – First 200 cars will receive a free parking pass. Parking is $13. Please have cash available to expedite process.

7:00am – Registration and Festival Opens (Recommended 5K/10K arrival time)   

7:05am – Minyan 

7:50am – Welcome

8:00am – Opening ceremony. National Anthems will be performed by Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy Choir under the direction of Katherine Simon.

8:15am - Warm Up

8:30am - Recommended Family Fun Race arrival time

Waze and Google Maps may misdirect you. Please follow the instructions below.
Freeway Route from 405N and 405S: Take the 105 Imperial Hwy past LAX towards the beach. Beach entry is at the end of Imperial Hwy where it passes Vista Del Mar.
City Streets from North: Take Pershing Drive south (NOTE ** Vista Del Mar will be closed North of Imperial Highway on race morning) until it hits Imperial Hwy. Make a right into the beach entry.
City Streets from South: Take Vista Del Mar north until it hits Imperial Hwy. Make a left into the beach entry.

 

Parking
Free parking: The first 200 cars will receive a free parking pass. Parking is $13 per car. Please have cash available to expedite the process.
When you arrive: Please let the parking attendant know that you are with the event and be prepared with cash. The line to pay and park will get backed up so please arrive early.

 

Lots for parking: After you pay, turn right and follow the road. There are three parking lots. We recommend parking in the 2nd lot. The 2nd lot is a 5 minute walk to the race start line and festival.

There is very limited parking in the 3rd lot and it is reserved for volunteers and those who require wheelchairs or other special needs. All race distances end in the 3rd and last lot. There is no exit from the 3rd lot while the event is going on. Anyone parked in the third lot will have to wait to leave until all races are complete. No vehicles will be able to leave the third lot before 10am.
