2024-2025 Jessica Herron Caring and Sharing Donation

Jessica Herron grew up at Shir Ha-Ma'alot, and from a young age she believed it was her responsibility to make the world a more caring and sharing place. In her honor and memory, Shir Ha Ma’alot’s Jessica Herron Caring & Sharing Program, aligned with our Neshama theme of strengthening and healing the soul, sponsors several opportunities this year for temple members and others to assist. 

We invite you to participate as we organize Adopt-a-Family initiatives over the Thanksgiving, Chanukah, and Christmas holidays in helping individuals and families in our local community facing challenging circumstances and Jewish families and Holocaust survivors for Passover 2025.

If you would like to volunteer to help with the Thanksgiving, Chanukah or Christmas drives, please check the box in the form and Dana Klein will contact you.

Donations to the Jessica Herron Fund will be used to buy gift cards for those in need of food or essential items as need is identified during the holidays or throughout the year.

If you would like to mail to or deliver to SHM a check for the Program, please make the check out to Congregation Shir Ha-Ma’alot and write in the left hand corner of the check “Jessica Herron Program”.

Checks can be mailed to or dropped off at the temple at 3652 Michelson, Irvine, CA 92612

CHANUKAH AND CHRISTMAS DRIVES

These funds will be used for the families for Chanukah gifts.

These funds will be used for the families for Christmas gifts.

These funds will be used throughout the year for different service projects.

If interested in this option, please purchase gift cards of your choice and deliver to the Temple office by December 15, 2024.
It may even be possible for you to deliver your gifts to your adopted family.  Please contact Barbara King at frombking@cox.net or Dana Klein at nevatolate@aol.com if you would like to purchase gifts and she will assist in matching your family with a family in need.

If you purchase gifts, please deliver to the Temple office on December 15, 2024 between 9:30 - 11:30 am.
